I don't think he was SO better than now...

I remember two critical points when Italy were breaking. Before, he would have used his feet to go round the player, be in on goal and finish, but he went wide, and you could clearly see he wasn't as fast to accelerate or agile anymore. He then had another chance where I think he was in a similar position but again did the same thing. I know there were 2 crucial breaks where only 1 player stood between him and goal and his inability to beat them like before meant he failed to convert the chances. Following this period his style slowly appeared to change and although we saw flashes, I personally didn't see aything to warrant 95 DA + Dribble* like -maybe- before.
I know he was/is still a very good dribbler, but these dribbling stats make him better than he was post-2000. I don't think 2000-2004 was his peak for dribbling at all. I'd say pre 2000, but some may disagree.

but I do agree with SP 91 being slightly over the top maybe a bit more but.. 82?! dude.. seriously.. you remember what Del Piero zone means?! with 82 he won't even reach the wall.. honestly.. the effect of floating ball.. that's something Pirlo has as well.. but their shot power is well above the average.. just try to kick the ball lightly from 30-35 meters.. it is the style he has that makes the ball float but its speed is still high or it would never even threaten the goalie.. I'd say 87/88
