I am debating moving his Reg position to SB, because they aren't using him at CB at all lately. :|

Despite his good size, bal, jump & header....in reallity he loses a lot of arial challenges. Really disappointed that he lacks strength in the air to match his strength on the ball.

Just bringing this point up again. I don't know the player but if his registered position stays as CB, is he this bad at positioning himself defensively? Obviously if he was made a registered SB then it wouldn't look too bad but a CB with Defence: 71 seems very harsh, unless of course he really is that bad :D

His natural position is CB...but he is playing SB because his "DEF" is raw. So giving him a higher value doesn't seem right. With these current stats he will be chosen in auto-sort to still play SB more often then CB...which is right. With his speed & Strength if his defense was much higher, he would be too useful at CB, and in that case he would be playing there instead of SB. Hope that made sense

Maybe not to the same degree but a bit like Micah Richards?

I'd say yes, but richards has had more playing time and success at CB than Ogbonna

Just to put this into perspective he is 4 points lower than Titus Bramble and people think even he might be underrated! This actually puts him at the sort of level I'd expect from 3rd tier English teams.

I would change his Reg Position to SB before I raise his defense. I am away this is very low. But even Bramble has been playing CB at the highest level of competition for how many years??? And Ogbonna has not yet been able to earn a starting spot at CB yet on a team that had the worst CB situation in the Serie A prior to picking up Dellafiore ;)

Jason, I don't know if you was lucky to see his games in Serie B (sadly, it's not well broadcasted) but this year he was back at CB (on the left side), both in Torino and Italy U21, so you can forget the suggestion of register him as SB.
Maybe you underrated him a bit in Ment and TW (especially compared with other players), IMO he's not that bad and he showed a good mentality lately (at least, he wanted to give a good impression with U21 shirt). A similar player like Siena's Brandao (who can play as left SB and CB) have MEN 79 and TW 78, and IMO Ogbonna can be near him.

And, of course, his ATT/DEF ratio need to be updated to a CB-esque one, DEF a point lower (or similar, to not be too harsh) than Ariaudo's 79, and 2 points lower than Andreolli's 80 (IMO Ogbonna's positional sense is not bad, but he's helped a lot by his physique), while ATT can remain the same (or eventually have a little drop, but seeing other CB*,SB with 65 [Accardi] or 66 [Domizzi], he can keep the 64).

I like your ideas in both Reggina player posts. I only want to make sure you don't make him too good. Consider his size and physical capabilities. With the speed/strength combo you don't want his positioning, response, TW & mentality too be too good.

Barilla needs the update more in my opinion ;) But its been a year since I've seen either of them.

Thanks for good words. Yesterday I was seeing Serie A Defence Ladder and I was thinking to something like 78; listening your word, you are surely true (I also wrote he's helped a lot by his body), so maybe he can be something lower, like 76-77 (but, to be honest, I can't say you how much Darmian's value is accurate, or if Rossi's and Schiavi's values are updated). Seeing a former SB like Raggi to 75, I can say Ogbonna is better than him also in positioning (but honestly I think Raggi can be back to SB next season), so Ogbonna can be in range 76-77 (also considering Masiello's 76 can have a slight raise).

He improved a lot last season but not enough to give him a yellow number.. sometimes he totally loses his opponent, he's still not very effective, but very promising. I wouldn't go over 77.. maybe raising a bit response by 2 pts. He also needs, as Ace said, a bump in Mentality and TW, always in green numbers, he's also the second captain in the team after Bianchi and he's a very important figure in the Toro group.

made an overall update, definitely belongs to other cathegories.. he can't play in Serie B anymore. I remember him being still too foulish and quite "retarded" in some occasions.. well he improved a lot, forget about the old ogbonna.. i see him as a mixture of thiago silva and chiellini. response could be 81, thoughts on it? other suggestions?

i've seen him a few times...i think that the current set is quite right at the moment, i just think that his Jump and Header are a bit underrated.

actually i think that he's even better than them, also he's been called up for the NT recently, the guy posses a great amount of potential.
